EcoExplorer Blog: New tree planting initiative

Welcome to our blog! In this post, we explore how you can plant trees. I am doing a mitzvah project for my Bar Mitzvah. Mitzvah projects are about positive impact on the community. I chose to plant trees. I did extensive research into companies that could help plant trees, and many responded with great information. I found Ecosia: a search engine that uses ad revenue to plant trees, Freetree: a browser extension made by Ecosia that takes a comission whenever you shop on a partner site, and Refoorest: an extension that does the same things as Freetree. I encourage you to check the Initiatives tab for more information on how you can make a difference. Make sure to visit the links so you can start planting trees today!

    EcoExplorer Blog: Why plant trees?

Hello!, In this post, we find out why you should plant trees. You may know trees for producing oxygen and storing carbon dioxide, but that is not all they can do. Trees act as natural habitat for animals. a knot in a tree might be a good home for a squirrel while the branches could support a nest. Every part of a tree is vital. Trees are also great filters for pollutants from both the air and water. Roots can keep soil together preventing erosion and leaves shade the ground, keeping the tmperature down. Many fungi and small organisims have symbiotic relationships with trees and depend on them for survival. You might think that planting one tree might not help, but collectively, you can make an impact. Downloading Refoorest, Ecosia, and Freetree is FREE! Consder getting them on all of your devices to fix a problem that will not go away without your help.
